Shift: Part‑time, 8‑hour shifts during the week and 10‑hour shifts on weekends.
Job SummaryFollowing established policies and procedures, under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, prepares and distributes medication and performs functions essential to the operations of the pharmacy department. Functions within the guidelines of the Wisconsin Statutes and Administrative Code – Pharmacy Examining Board – Pharmacy Practice Sections.
Experience- Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a hospital pharmacy department preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician training program preferred.
- Application for Wisconsin registration as a Pharmacy Technician required by hire date; must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
- Staff hired before 3/31/23 must have applied for registration by that date and obtained it by 3/31/24.
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through PTCE or ExCPT preferred.
