Quoting & Design Specialist

Job Requirements:

Position Summary

The position will review customer files and develop project-based quotes for the production plan that reflects the customers needed requirements. This position will also prepare technical drawings and plans using computer aided drafting and design software to create design ideas requested by our customers. Additionally, the position will ensure that the quality of all products aligns with company standards and the Invincible brand 'promise.'

• 75% Product Quoting ~ 25% Product Design (Initially)
• Prepare cost estimates for projects with standard, configured product for pricing quotes.
• Evaluate customer request for proposal, create quote/bid, track and follow up the entire process.
• Maintain professional working relationship with vendors & customers, as liaison will report concerns while determining cost of products and providing quote information to customers.
• Support sales and customer service with technical information.
• Responsible for cost, discount, and profit calculation.
• Ensure accuracy of part numbers, configurations, pricing logic, and product options.
• Design and engineer furniture products and components using AutoCAD and Solid Works.
• Research and recommend new product categories.
• Search out process alternatives, material options, and design alterations to enhance features and benefits, while driving cost effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain 3D models, shop drawings, engineering documentation, BOMs, and product specifications.
• Support prototype development, testing, and product improvements.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to ensure design feasibility and product efficiency.
• This position requires a large amount of customer interaction.

• 3+ years relevant experience, preferably working in a metal furniture fabrication environment or related technical field.
• Rendering and prototyping capability.
• Graphic layout and presentation skills.
• Proficiency of CAD software (AutoCAD preferred) and Solid Works experience.
• Desired: experience with Configurea CET Designer.
• An excellent grasp of engineering and design principles and furniture construction methods.
• An understanding of manufacturing processes and construction methods.
• Experience with ERP-driven product data and BOM structures.
• Experience with and a working knowledge of metal fabrication principles, concepts, and ideas (metal gauges ranging from 7 Ga. to 24 Ga.).
• Experience with Salvagnini automated punching/shearing equipment, Salvagnini CNC panel bending equipment, or multi-axis CNC brake press equipment a plus.
• Interest in metal furniture design.
