Argenta, MVS is looking to fill an Animal Care Technician role at our Manhattan, KS location. This position offers motivated, driven individuals the opportunity to multitask and work as a team, showcasing their ability to support animal research.

• Clean and perform daily chores under the direction of senior staff and veterinarians.
• Collect research data and samples in accordance with study protocols and Good Documentation Practices.
• Assist veterinarians in observations and procedures, and inform veterinarians of abnormalities.
• Promote and maintain the well‑being of animals including feeding and basic care.
• Repair, maintain and operate equipment/machinery.
• Perform administrative duties that support animal care and site functions.
• Record information accurately and timely.
• Build relationships with key individuals and contributors within and outside the organization.

• High school diploma or equivalent education and experience.
• Experience working with animals, large and small.
• Proven experience operating large farm equipment/machinery.
• Strong teamwork skills and composure under pressure.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Attention to detail and analytical drive.
• Dependability, flexibility and ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Willingness to be on call and in on‑call rotation, including weekends.
• Residence within a reasonable distance for on‑call purposes and procedures.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly.
