SMH is seeking a Licensed Civil Engineer to join our Manhattan, KS and Colorado Springs, CO offices. With over 35 years of civil engineering and land surveying expertise, we’re a trusted partner in shaping communities through innovative land development and infrastructure solutions.
What You’ll Do:- Manage and design projects related to land development, transportation infrastructure, utility systems, and stormwater solutions
- Analyze and interpret topographic and boundary survey data to inform design decisions
- Collaborate with survey crews and engineering teams to ensure seamless project execution
- Communicate directly with clients to assess project needs, provide updates, and deliver high-quality results
- Prepare plans, reports, and specifications that meet regulatory and client expectations
We’re seeking motivated individuals who are eager to lead, solve problems, and build strong relationships.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or the ability to obtain within 6 months
- 5-10 years of engineering experience – water/wastewater experience is a plus
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and other Autodesk design tools
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without a visa sponsorship
- Valid driver’s license
