Position: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) — Manhattan, NY 10016

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team in Manhattan, NY (10016). In this vital role, you will deliver high-quality, personalized patient care across a range of healthcare environments, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, rehabilitation centers, assisted living communities, and post-acute care settings.

Your professionalism, reliability, and commitment to patient dignity will directly support continuity of care during routine operations as well as periods of increased demand, emergency response, or staffing disruption.

Requirements
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility support using assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and transfer equipment.
  • Measure, monitor, and accurately record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration) in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, Meditech, or eClinical

    Works.
  • Support licensed nursing staff with patient observation, rounding, and routine clinical tasks while adhering to HIPAA and facility protocols.
  • Provide compassionate care for patients with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, behavioral health needs, or post-acute rehabilitation requirements.
  • Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary care teams to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.
  • Maintain infection control standards, including aseptic techniques during wound care, catheter care, and isolation procedures.
  • Assist with patient transfers, ambulation, and positioning while ensuring safety and proper body mechanics.
  • Support rehabilitation and recovery programs by assisting patients with exercises, mobility routines, and daily activities.
  • Deliver respectful and compassionate care to diverse patient populations, primarily adult and geriatric patients.
  • Document all patient care activities thoroughly and accurately within facility-approved medical documentation systems.
Experience & Qualifications
  • Current and valid New York State CNA certification.
  • Previous experience as a CNA in hospitals, long-term care facilities, rehabilitation centers, assisted living communities, or similar healthcare settings preferred.
  • Experience in acute care, medical-surgical units, or high-acuity environments is a plus.
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Meditech, eClinical

    Works, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of infection control practices, patient safety standards, and basic medical terminology.
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Strong communication skills, reliability, and attention to detail.
  • BLS certification preferred.
Schedule & Expected Hours
  • Standard operations: 36–40 hours per week.
  • Emergency or surge coverage: 48–60 hours per week available.
  • Strike or crisis response: Extended shifts (up to 60–72 hours per week) may be required to ensure continuity of care.

Flexible scheduling may include day, evening, night, weekend, per-diem, or rotational shifts based on facility needs.

Compensation
  • Standard rate: $22–$26 per hour.
  • Emergency coverage: $28–$32 per hour.
  • Strike / crisis response: $35–$42 per hour.

Rates vary based on experience, shift type, and urgency level.
