Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Availability: Must be available to begin in December.
Job Description: Looking for a Toddler teacher for a progressive preschool in the Manhattan Beach area. We are only interested in candidates who have a passion for the field and meet all the requirements listed. We are seeking individuals who have chosen early education as their career, not just a job. You must love children — and you should also love life.

All applicants must have a clear understanding of an emergent curriculum and the ability to adapt to the needs of each individual child. Teachers must have experience working with children 18 to 30 months and the ability to meet all children’s needs. Must enjoy working in a team setting as well as the ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and manage time.
Punctual and dependable.
- Toddler teachers must hold a Bachelor’s Degree or qualify for the Child Development Teacher Permit, and have a minimum of 12 units in Early Childhood Education with 3 units of Infant/Toddler course. An advanced degree is preferred.
- Toddler teachers are responsible for planning and implementing learning experiences for children ages 18 months to 30 months that advance the intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development of children within a safe and healthy learning environment.
- They encourage the involvement of families and support the development of positive relationships between all members of the Piper community.
- Must be fluent in English.

- Toddler teachers must consistently participate in direct interaction with children, serve as faculty for professional development activities and community-based events, and be responsible for the items listed below and any others as assigned by members of the Administration.
- Lead teachers report to members of the Administration and Administrative Support Staff (i.e., Division Coordinators, etc.), as directed throughout the policies of this job description.
- Organization, professionalism, reading skills, time management, planning, oral and written communication skills, interpersonal relationships, family/child relations, and computer skills.
- Crouch, crawl, stoop, or bend.
- Stand for long periods of time.
- Sit for long periods of time.
- Frequently lift up to 35 pounds.
- Change diapers.
