Inventory & Supply Technician
Northlake Behavioral Health is seeking a reliable and detail oriented Inventory & Supply Technician to support the daily operations of our supply and materials management functions. This hands on role is responsible for maintaining supply inventory, stocking and organizing the supply room, and fulfilling internal supply requests to ensure departments across the hospital have the materials they need to operate efficiently.
The Inventory & Supply Technician works under the direction of the Plant Operations Coordinator and plays a key role in maintaining accurate inventory levels, monitoring par levels, and assisting with receiving and distributing supplies throughout the facility. This position requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain supply room organization and ensure supplies are properly stocked and stored
• Monitor and maintain established par levels for routine supplies
• Conduct routine inventory counts and report shortages or discrepancies
• Receive, unpack, and verify incoming deliveries against packing slips and purchase orders
• Distribute supplies to departments and fulfill internal supply requests in a timely manner
• Assist with inventory tracking and documentation within the materials management system
• Rotate stock and monitor expiration dates when applicable
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized supply storage area
• Communicate supply needs, shortages, or issues to the Plant Operations Coordinator
• Support hospital departments by ensuring consistent access to necessary materials
Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous experience in inventory, stockroom, warehouse, or materials management required
• Healthcare or hospital supply experience is helpful but not required
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to lift, move, and transport supply boxes and materials as needed
• Basic computer skills and comfort learning inventory or materials management systems
• Ability to work independently and manage routine tasks with minimal supervision
