Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to residents. The RN collaborates with residents, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues—including providers—to plan, implement, and evaluate care. Responsibilities include participation in care coordination, resident assessment, resident education, and various nursing interventions. The RN may serve as charge nurse and delegate appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel, ensuring safe and reliable resident care.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize the nursing process to deliver individualized care to residents.
  • Collaborate with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
  • Coordinate staff and resources to meet resident needs.
  • Administer and monitor medications and treatments.
  • Conduct resident assessments and provide education on health maintenance.
  • Document patient care in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Serve as charge nurse when required and delegate tasks appropriately.
Qualifications
  • Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program; a bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where nursing is practiced (or multistate licensure if in an NLC state).
  • Minimum of 3 months of long‑term care experience (6 months preferred).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
