Warehouse Operative

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic logistics team. This role involves various aspects of warehouse operations, including inventory control, materials handling, and order fulfillment. The successful candidate will be available to work on a 4 on 4 off shift Rota from Midnight to Midday paying hourly rates relevant to time of day with standard rate of 13.45 and unsocial hours paying 14.86.

You will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient movement of goods, maintaining safety standards, and supporting overall warehouse distribution processes. Responsibilities

• Manage inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 platforms to track stock levels accurately.
• Perform stock stocking, order picking, packing, and order fulfillment tasks with precision to meet customer deadlines.
• Conduct regular inventory control checks and participate in cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy.
• Handle shipping and receiving processes, including preparing shipments and verifying incoming deliveries.
• Utilize RF scanners for accurate order picking and inventory updates.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment in compliance with OSHA safety standards.
• Support warehouse supervision by adhering to established procedures for heavy lifting, materials handling, and packaging.

Experience

• Prior experience working in a warehouse environment with familiarity in warehouse distribution and inventory management.
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and AS400 is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and best practices for materials handling.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control tasks.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining efficiency during high-volume periods.
