AboutThe Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Delivery Station Manager to oversee our last‑mile delivery processes, being responsible for driving team performance, and ensuring operational efficiency in our brand new Manchester operation. This position is ideal for someone who possesses strong leadership skills and has proven track record in management, ensuring that all team members work efficiently to meet our organisational goals.
If you're a proactive leader with a passion for logistics and people development, this could be the role for you.
- Overseeing day‑to‑day delivery station operations, including planning, resource allocation, and execution of last‑mile deliveries.
- Leading, motivating and managing a high‑performing team through effective recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Conducting daily team briefings to align staff with targets and reinforce company values.
- Ensuring adequate staffing and resource levels to meet changing operational demands.
- Promoting a positive and collaborative workplace culture focused on accountability and development.
- Monitoring operational KPIs and implementing improvements to drive efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Resolving service issues promptly to ensure smooth delivery operations.
- Maintaining compliance with all safety, security, and quality standards.
- Experience in Logistics, Operations Management, Business, or related discipline.
- 3+ years’ experience in logistics or warehouse operations, ideally with last‑mile delivery.
- Proven ability to lead and develop diverse teams in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong communication and coaching skills.
- Data‑driven mindset with experience using KPIs to guide decisions.
- Proficient in logistics systems and Microsoft Office tools.
- Knowledge of last minute mile delivery operations.
- Background in e‑commerce, courier, or delivery service operations.
- Familiarity with delivery management platforms and routing optimisation tools.
