Transport Trainer

Pay Rate: £37,272.99 plus an annual HGV premium of £1,040
Grade: RCS P
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: Working either Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday, starting between 4am-1pm depending on business needs
Location: Bury - Manchester

We are now looking for a Transport Trainer to drive the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of all transport-related training across our operation.

• Lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of all transport-related training, including classroom sessions, practical training, inductions, and refresher modules
• Ensure all training meets internal standards and external regulatory requirements, including DVSA and health & safety legislation
• Act as the subject matter expert for transport training, advising operational leaders and supporting continuous improvement
• Coach and mentor drivers and transport colleagues to build capability, confidence, and professionalism
• Maintain accurate training records and documentation to ensure full audit readiness
• Identify training gaps and implement performance boosting interventions
• Support accident reduction, compliance improvement, and operational efficiency through effective training and feedback

• Experience delivering transport, driver, or compliance training in a logistics or transport environment
• Strong knowledge of transport regulations, including Working Time Directive, tachograph rules, and vehicle safety
• Excellent communication and coaching skills, with the ability to engage colleagues at all levels
• High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and confidence working with documentation and audit requirements
• A valid LGV Licence (C or C+E)
