Hgv Class 2 Driver

Location: Irlam

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Irlam area. We are looking for experienced Class 2 Drivers (CAT

C) to join the team.

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 05:00- 06:00am starts finishing around 16:00pm-17:00pm.
Pay Rate: £14.10 per hour PAYE (with an additional earning potential of up to £300 per month tax free)

Irlam, M44
Job Type: Ongoing with the opportunity for permanent for the right candidate.

The role:

· Delivering flooring items (carpets, vinyls etc) to commercial and residential areas in an 18 tonne vehicle.
. Deliveries will be around the North West area - approximately 15-30 drops per day

· Be equipped to deal with the physical demands of the role as this will involve heavy lifting.
. Successful applicants will have a week’s paid training and induction (this will also cover an assessment) with another driver.
. Ensuring vehicles are operated safely and in line with company procedures
. Carrying out vehicle checks before and after each run
.Adhering to all road transport, WTD, and health & safety regulations.

Requirements:

· Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category

C).

· Have at least 6 months of proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.

· Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.

· Clean licence required

· Full understanding of WTD legislation.

· Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.

· Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.

· Physical fitness and capability to handle manual handling
