Leeds / Manchester / Newcastle (60% onsite)
Duration: 12-Month Contract

Day Rate:
Up to £750/day (Umbrella, Inside IR35)

We're looking for an experienced Interim Technical Lead to help modernise and scale a high-profile, national digital service used by millions.

This is a hands‑on leadership role within a major transformation programme - moving from monolithic systems to modern microservices, standardising engineering practices, and strengthening cloud and Dev Ops capability.

• Lead and mentor engineering teams
• Set technical direction aligned to strategy
• Deliver secure, high-quality, scalable services
• Build APIs and server‑side applications
• Champion CI/CD, automation, and best practice
• Support and evolve high‑traffic platforms

• Java, microservices, APIs, automated testing, Mongo

• AWS, Terraform, Git Lab CI/Jenkins, Dev Ops, Infrastructure as Code

• Strong technical leadership in complex environments
• Secure design, version control & engineering standards
