I'm working with an early-stage UK Green Tech start‑up building software that supports sustainability‑focused, real‑world systems, not consumer apps or vanity features.

This is a genuinely early engineering hire into a small, ambitious team where engineering decisions directly influence how the business operates and scales. If you enjoy start‑up environments with autonomy, responsibility, and visible impact, this role is a strong fit.

They're looking for a hands‑on Full Stack Developer to take ownership of an existing platform and help shape the next phase of development.

• Own and evolve a live Type Script‑based system used daily by the business
• Work closely with founders and stakeholders to stabilise and improve core functionality

• Lead greenfield development of new internal tools
• Build systems focused on data capture, operational insight, and reporting
• Influence architecture, tooling, and technical direction as the engineering function grows
• Help shape software that supports sustainability‑driven outcomes

This is very much a start‑up role – ambiguity, ownership, and learning are part of the job.

• Type Script (full stack)
• MongoDB
• Product‑led, start‑up engineering environment
• Strong emphasis on reliability, data, and maintainability

• A Full Stack Engineer comfortable working end‑to‑end
• Someone who enjoys early‑stage start‑ups and taking ownership
• Experience maintaining live systems as well as building new functionality
• Product‑minded, pragmatic, and able to see the bigger picture
• Clear communicator, comfortable working with non‑technical stakeholders

• UK‑based
• Flexible across London, Manchester, or Edinburgh
• Preference for 3 to 4 days onsite, with flexibility for the right candidate

Circa £65,000, with some flexibility depending on experience
