Overview

My client is seeking a Software Development Team Leader to guide and support a talented team of developers as they continue to grow and expand internationally. This is a predominantly hands-off leadership role focused on people, delivery, and driving best practice rather than day-to-day coding.

• Lead software development teams and deliver high-quality results.
• Manage multiple delivery streams, plan resources, and mitigate risks.
• Mentor team members, promote knowledge sharing, and support growth.
• Engage with stakeholders, collaborate across teams, and communicate effectively.
• Maintain oversight of delivery in a fast-paced environment and balance priorities.
• Align technical solutions with business objectives; drive best practices.

• Proven experience leading software development teams and delivering high-quality results.
• Strong ability to manage multiple delivery streams, plan resources, and mitigate risks.
• Mentoring and knowledge-sharing skills; supporting growth of team members.
• Excellent communication with stakeholders and cross-team collaboration.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with the ability to balance priorities.
• Awareness of modern software practices and scalable system design; hands-on experience with the team’s tech stack is not essential.

Location: Manchester

Flexibility: 2 days on-site, 3 days from home

Salary: Up to £75,000 + 15% bonus
