Kitchen Assistant; Part Time

We are looking for a confident Kitchen Assistant with a passion for delivering outstanding care. You'll be working part time, at Cygnet Lodge Salford, creating an excellent experience for the people in our care. Please note, we have two roles available: 1 x part time, 16 hours per week. 1 x part time, 24 hours per week. Both roles will be 8 hour shifts on a rota basis.

This will include both weekdays and weekends.

Please note, we have two roles available:

• 1 x part time, 16 hours per week.
• 1 x part time, 24 hours per week

Both roles will be 8 hour shifts on a rota basis. This will include both weekdays and weekends.
Cygnet Lodge Salford is a high support inpatient rehabilitation (level
2) service for women. The service supports 24 individuals with a primary diagnosis of mental illness, but they may also have a complex secondary diagnosis, including a personality disorder.

Your Day-to-Day...

• Assist the team in the providing balanced, appetising meals
• Perform basic food preparation, cooking tasks & other kitchen duties
• Wash utensils, dishes & make sure they are stored appropriately
• Sort, store & distribute ingredients, check deliveries and assist with stock ordering
• Maintain personal hygiene and ensure the kitchen is clean & hygienic
• Handle, maintain & store kitchen equipment in accordance with Cygnet procedures
• Use chemicals in line with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations.

• Enthusiastic, keen to learn and an active team member

• An excellent communicator who can liaise with people at all levels
• Able to work on your own initiative & under supervision
• Diligent & take pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness.
