Are you an experienced social worker who wants to get into fostering in North Yorkshire / the North East of England, but opportunities are limited in your current role? This is a full‑time post – 37 hours/week – with Leaders in Care, a highly rated independent fostering agency. We are looking for an experienced practitioner to join our stable service on a permanent basis as a supervising social worker.

You will be based out of the Leeds office once per month; the rest of your month is completely flexible working. The role covers the North East / Yorkshire (Richmond, Teesside, Middlesborough, Hartlepool & up to Northumberland).

• Support and manage approved foster carers and provide professional advice when necessary.
• Contribute to business planning and supervise Support Workers and Social Work Students.
• Work closely with social work staff and foster carers to ensure that quality standards are met in all assessments.

• Social work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
• At least 2+ years post‑qualified experience in other areas of children's services, with prior fostering experience preferred.

• Generous salary up to £41,000, depending on experience.
