Our client, a reputable and well-established commercial vehicle rental company, is seeking a skilled HGV Technician to become a vital part of their Manchester service team. This is a professional opportunity for an experienced HGV Technician committed to high standards of safety and quality.

• Conduct routine servicing and inspections on a variety of HGVs, ensuring compliance with manufacturer standards
• Perform vehicle testing in a safe, efficient, and professional manner
• Diagnose faults accurately and prepare comprehensive repair reports
• Carry out repairs on a diverse range of HGVs, including cranes, hydraulics, tippers or beaver tails (advantageous)
• Maintain high safety and quality standards throughout all work undertaken

• NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 qualification in HGV Mechanics or equivalent, or alternatively a minimum of 3+ years' hands‑on experience as an HGV Technician
• Demonstrable diagnostic and repair expertise
• Experience working with specialised equipment such as cranes or hydraulics (preferred)
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high‑quality standards
• A full UK driving licence is essential

This role involves alternating shifts—Week 1: 07:00–15:30;
Week 2: 12:30–21:00—with one in three Saturdays paid at overtime rates.
