About the Role

We are recruiting a skilled and motivated Mechanical Technician to join a growing and fast-paced construction and plant services division. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards of equipment safety, reliability, and performance while delivering outstanding service.

You will play a key role in ensuring a wide range of plant and equipment is maintained, inspected, and repaired to the highest standards, supporting both operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Technician, your duties will include:

* Carrying out equipment repairs and pre-hire inspections

* Servicing and maintaining plant and equipment to ensure reliability and compliance

* Diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults

* Completing routine inspections and servicing schedules

* Ensuring all equipment meets safety, cleanliness, and functionality standards

* Maintaining accurate records of inspections, servicing, and repairs

* Working collaboratively with colleagues to meet operational demands and deadlines

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

* Previous experience within the plant hire, construction equipment, or mechanical engineering industry

* Strong mechanical knowledge, with experience across multiple systems

* A proactive, self-motivated approach and strong problem-solving skills

* The ability to work well as part of a team while also using your own initiative

* A flexible attitude to a changing and fast-paced working environment

* A full UK driving licence is advantageous, but not essential
