Regional Painter​/Decorator

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and skilled Regional Painter & Decorator to support the upkeep and refurbishment of our care homes across the region. This is a varied, hands‑on role working in live care environments, delivering high‑quality finishes while ensuring minimal disruption to residents and staff.

You will play an important part in maintaining safe, welcoming, and well‑presented homes for our residents.

• Carry out painting and decorating works across multiple care homes
• Complete full room refurbishments, cyclical decoration, and touch‑ups
• Prepare surfaces including walls, ceilings, woodwork, and communal areas
• Use appropriate materials and finishes suitable for care environments
• Work sensitively around residents, staff, and visitors in occupied buildings
• Follow infection control, health & safety, and safeguarding procedures
• Maintain tidy and safe working areas at all times
• Travel between sites and manage your own workload effectively
• Report any maintenance issues or potential hazards to management

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work and understands the importance of working respectfully in a care setting.

• Proven experience as a painter & decorator
• High standard of workmanship and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently across multiple sites
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Willingness to travel regionally

• Experience in care homes, healthcare, or similar environments
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Painting & Decorating (or equivalent)
• Understanding of infection prevention and working in occupied buildings
