Mobile Electrical EngineerWe are looking for a Mobile Electrical Engineer to work within our Electrical services department carrying out specialised electrical installation works and carrying out electrical installation condition reports, periodic emergency lighting inspections, fault diagnosis and rectification on various electrical systems within commercial installations.
Key Responsibilities- Attend Cambridge Maintenance sites to ensure that maintenance, servicing and repair works are carried out in accordance with current legislation.
- Test and certify electrical installations and minor works in accordance with NIC/EIC approved contractor scheme and IET BS7671 Wiring Regulation.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with clients, suppliers and other Cambridge Maintenance personnel to maintain excellent professional relationships and ensure smooth operation of the business.
- Organise works allocated time efficiently and work supportively within a team.
- Complete site logs and site diaries on a daily basis.
- Submit clear, concise and accurate task sheets and reports (with photographs) daily in support of works carried out, with clear recommendations for any further work required.
Location: Manchester (with flexibility to cover Yorkshire/Leeds sites)
Hours Of Work: Monday-Friday - 42.5 hours per week with overtime starting after 47.5 hours.
EssentialSkills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of electrical installation works within commercial & domestic properties.
- Knowledge of electrical testing and certification requirements within commercial properties.
- Ability to fault find electrical equipment faults within commercial properties.
- Fault diagnosis and rectification on commercial fire alarm system.
- Experience in emergency light annual testing.
- Experience with DALI lighting control systems.
- Experience with BMS control wiring and fault finding.
- City & Guilds 2391 or 2394 & 2395 Certificate in Inspection, Testing & Certification of Electrical Installations or equivalent.
- City & Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Full electrical apprenticeship.

- JIB registered.
- IPAF mobile access license.
