Our products and services include:
- Fire alarms, including installation, maintenance and repairs
- Fire extinguishers, including supply, installation and maintenance
- Emergency light replacements and testing
- Dry and wet riser testing and repairs
- Fire hydrant testing
- Bespoke fire safety training and fire risk assessments
- Fire door inspections
We are seeking an enthusiastic, hardworking individual who is keen to learn. The role itself includes and is not limited to:
- Assisting with the service of fire alarms to BS5839-1
- Assisting with the service and testing of emergency lighting systems to BS5266-1
- Replacing consumables where appropriate and make recommendations for remedial works when needed
- Carrying out repairs and/or replacement of devices on fire alarm systems, emergency lighting and other associated systems.
- Attend callouts for fire alarm systems and smoke control system faults. Then, using critical thinking, logic and problem-solving techniques provide solutions for our customers.
- Assist with the testing and maintenance of wet and dry risers and fire hydrants
- Assist with performing fire extinguisher servicing.
Essential skills:
- Permission and right to work in the UK
- Full UK driver's license
- Grade C/4/equivalent in GCSE mathematics and science
- Basic computer skills, including the use of emails and mobile app-based software
- Be punctual, reliable and flexible
- Conscientious and strong work ethic
- Have a flexible approach to working hours, in particular, starting and finishing times (due to the nature of the role)
- Be a team player
- Good attitude towards health and safety in the workplace
- Have a good aptitude for customer service and forming strong relationships with customers and staff
- Previous experience in a trade skill or experience in using hand and power tools
- Basic knowledge of electrical circuits/equipment and how they work
Full-time – 37.5 hours per week, usual working hours are Monday to Thursday 9-5 and Fridays 9-4, with an on-call rota for weekends
