About the role
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our growing team of like-minded tech people. Your responsibilities will encompass the following areas:
Lead Generation & Prospecting- Identify and research potential clients, markets, and business opportunities using razorblue's ICPprospect.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads.
- Work with Marketing on creative outbound sales campaigns.
- Build and nurture long‑term relationships with clients and partners.
- Act as the primary point of contact for new and existing clients.
- Develop and execute strategies to achieve sales targets.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals to drive revenue.
- Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
- Provide insights to inform product development and pricing strategies.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create tailored solutions for clients.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking sessions.
- Establish strategic partnerships to expand market reach.
- Work with Marketing to organise and host prospects at our offices.
- Prepare presentations using the company templates for sales meetings.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and pipeline status in the company’s CRM.
- Prepare regular reports on business development performance and forecasts.
- Work closely with marketing, product, and operations teams to align strategies.
- Ensure smooth onboarding and delivery for new clients.
- Attend prospecting meetings with trusted partners.
- Attend internal sales meetings.
- Contribute to the development of long‑term business growth strategies.
- Identify new markets and opportunities for expansion.
- Ensure all deals comply with company policies and legal requirements.
- Assess risks associated with new business opportunities.

Requirements- Must hold a full UK Driving Licence.
- Proven track record in business development, sales, or account management.
- Experience identifying and securing new business opportunities.
- Strong negotiation and deal‑closing experience.
- Previous technical experience (preferably in the IT/ISP/MSP marketplace) is beneficial.
- Understanding of market research and competitor analysis.
- Knowledge of the industry sector and commercial trends.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional telephone manner.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to persuade, influence and negotiate effectively at all levels.
- Excellent organisation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
