About This Role

Are you looking to start a career in sales as a Trainee Sales Executive, perhaps coming from a customer service, account management or business development background and ready for your next step? If you are keen to break into commercial sales or grow your experience as a Sales Executive within the asset rental market, this Trainee Sales Executive role with Dawsongroup Truck and Trailer could be exactly what you have been waiting for.

Responsibilities

As a Trainee Sales Executive, you will learn how to identify and secure short and long term rental opportunities across our truck and trailer fleet, building confidence in sales, customer relationships and commercial awareness along the way.

  • Learn how to build and manage a strong sales pipeline across your designated area.
  • Support the achievement of branch sales and utilisation targets alongside the Contract Hire Manager.
  • Develop customer relationships through calls, meetings and joint visits.
  • Keep our CRM system fully updated to build future opportunities.
  • Contribute to marketing campaigns and prospect new business opportunities.
About You

You might already have some exposure to sales, business development or customer facing roles, or you may simply be commercially minded, confident speaking to people and motivated to build a long term career in sales. This is a trainee opportunity, so we are looking for potential, curiosity and resilience rather than a perfect CV.

  • Comfortable building relationships over the phone and in person.
  • Organised and able to manage your own diary and priorities.
  • Keen to learn about contract hire, rental solutions and the commercial vehicle sector.
  • Confident using systems and willing to keep accurate records on CRM.
  • Motivated by targets and excited by the idea of winning new business.
