If you’ve been running commercial insurance accounts for a while and are ready to take ownership of your own client portfolio — and grow a division while doing it — this could be worth a read. Our client is a well-established, rapidly growing UK brokerage with regional offices and a strong reputation for doing things right. You won’t just be “managing accounts” — you’ll be building relationships, spotting opportunities, and helping businesses get the insurance cover they actually need.

Day-to-day, you’ll be:
Prospecting new business and generating leads that convert Attending client meetings and building genuine relationships Understanding client needs and recommending the right commercial insurance solutions Negotiating policies and closing sales to give clients the cover they need Identifying cross-selling and referral opportunities to grow revenue Managing and expanding an existing client portfolio while keeping retention high Handling queries and complaints professionally — with a focus on excellent service Ensuring everything you do ticks the FCA compliance boxes We’re looking for someone who:
Has experience as an Account Executive or Account Director in a brokerage environment Has a strong track record in generating new business and maintaining client satisfaction Knows commercial insurance products inside out Can work confidently within FCA rules Is organised, detail-oriented, and thrives on managing multiple priorities Has excellent relationship-building and client service skills Ideally holds, or is working towards, Cert CII Why this role is worth it:
