Our main expertise is in the design and build of substations up to 400 kV. We have successfully completed projects across many sectors – Transmission and Distribution, Renewables, Data Centres, Manufacturing and Pharmaceuticals, to name a few.
Job functionTo maximise sales opportunities across the designated market sector. To ensure that the H&MV brand, services, USPs and culture is understood across the sector and held in high regard. To provide exceptional account management to existing customers, ensuring key stakeholders are understood and pipeline is understood and discussed through periodic meetings. Promote H&MV, build and maintain relationships with potential customers. Embrace H&MV core values in daily interactions with peers and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities& Accountabilities
- Ensure that sales targets are met
- Use prospecting intel./tools to drive new enquiries through the business
- Self-monitor performance against objectives as agreed with UK Sales Manager.
- Develop exceptional customer relationships with existing and potential clients, ensuring that H&MV is in a strong position to gain future enquiries
- Work alongside the tendering team to ensure that all proposals are prepared and submitted within agreed time frames
- Ensure timely follow-up on all proposal issued to market
- Monitor market and competitor trends to ensure competitive edge
- Propose new services, where appropriate, to the UK Sales Manager
- Relate to and work with, as required in specific instances, other department staff to aid the sales process
- Participate/attend sector appropriate industry shows
- Provide an excellent quality of work within the department and company.
- Ensure appropriate means and tone of communication at all times.
- Identify and report on process improvement opportunities or efficiency gains across the business where appropriate
- Ensure good housekeeping, maintaining accurate and timely records
- Comply with the latest company procedures, legislation and industry skills on all aspects of day-to-day work.
- Any other duties as deemed appropriate by the UK Sales Manager
- Must be flexible and adaptable to meet needs of the business and clients, working outside of standard office hours from time to time
- Proven track record for achieving and/or over-achieving annual sales targets
- Passionate about the electricity supply industry and renewable technologies
- Technical appreciation of distribution networks and/or Competition in Connections advantageous
- Ability to communicate, selecting appropriate means, engaging at various levels, up to suite
- Excellent negotiation and presentational skills
- Self-motivated and driven to outperform targets
- Eligible to work in the UK.
