We are looking for dynamic, experienced Senior E‑Commerce Merchandiser to join our growing E‑Commerce team. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial mindset, a drive for results and strong experience in presenting large product ranges on enterprise‑grade E‑Commerce websites. Reporting to the Head of E‑Commerce & Digital you will be responsible for driving merchandising strategy forward on the Online Home Shop Website, improving conversion rate, order values and ensuring the ever‑expanding OHS Homeware range is presented effectively.
- Product & Category Performance
- Own the onsite merchandising strategy to maximise revenue, conversion rate and AOV.
- Working closely with the Buying and Merchandising teams to translate NPD, buying and range plans into best‑in‑class onsite execution
- Understand category plans to drive range growth, margin and stock efficiency
- Ensure key categories and product ranges are performing to plan, identifying opportunities for growth and addressing underperformance
- Own the roadmap, configuration, and ongoing optimisation of onsite merchandising technology, including search and navigation platforms as well as personalisation and recommendation engines.
- Define merchandising rules and frameworks by rigorous testing and analysis, ensuring buy‑in and alignment on these rules from key stakeholders.
- Owning and driving the performance of our onsite merchandising tools to maximise performance.
- Driving forward the technical capability of OHS’s merchandising tools to trial new features and push forward performance.
- Collaboration with Buying & Merchandising
- Work closely with the key stakeholders in Buying & Merchandising to ensure performance and trend data is used effectively in onsite activations and marketing campaigns.
- Ensuring B&M teams are up to speed on E‑Commerce performance and the opportunities to drive sales forward.
- Influence range planning using E‑Commerce performance insights and customer behaviour.
- Ensure online category structures reflect how customers actually shop, and prioritises smooth customers journeys, conversion rate optimisation and E‑Commerce performance.
- Onsite Content
- Working with Buying & Merchandising to prioritise key products across onsite activations and marketing campaigns
- Gathering a holistic view of sales, margin and stock performance alongside customer, UX and conversion considerations to inform product placements on all OHS assets.
- Marketing Channels
- Inform the CRM, Paid Media and Organic marketing campaign strategy using product insights to drive results.
- Test, analyse and iterate different hypotheses in presenting the OHS product to the customer
- Reporting
- Provide timely, accurate and incisive reporting to inform our E‑Commerce and Marketing strategy from a product and category perspective
- SEO & GEO
- Ensuring best practice SEO and GEO execution of our product range
- Ensuring product content and technical set up maximises visibility across Organic Search, AI overviews and LLMs
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical and management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Previous experience of working in online retail in a Merchandising role is essential.
- Hands‑on experience of Magento 2 and Google Analytics is preferred.
- Hands‑on experience in using merchandising tools (Nosto, Klevu, Algolia or similar) essential
