Customer Billing Clerk

Location: Stretford

AKW are recruiting a Customer Billing Clerk to join their team at their site in Manchester. The Customer Billing Clerk will be responsible for providing a proactive approach to customer billings across the group, ensuring accuracy in all billing processes and cycles. Driving best practice to comply with all company procedures, documented polices and financial legislation.

About the job:

Coordinate with sales and operational teams to ensure smooth onboarding of new customers.

Validate and set up new customer accounts across various systems, including updating all pricing & tariffs, ensuring compliance with company policies & procedures.

Assess creditworthiness of new and existing customers.

Manage billing cycles for timely and accurate invoicing, ensure customer requirements are met.  

Answer queries from customers providing accurate information to ensure excellent customer service is maintained.

Input information into the relevant systems, for which you have responsibility, check and reconcile data where appropriate and identify and resolve any discrepancies to ensure 100% accuracy.

Assist in the development of processes and procedures to improve the efficiency of the central billings function.

Provide exceptional customer service and maintain positive relationships.

Your knowedge and experience:

Applicable accounting qualification such as AAT desired.

Billings experience and working in an office environment

Onboarding/Validating new customers accounts

Setting Up Customer Accounts

Accounting software and Microsoft office
