Overview

Are you a confident, motivated, and enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon looking for a fulfilling role that offers both professional growth and a balanced lifestyle? An independent veterinary practice in Greater Manchester is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. This role promises a diverse and engaging caseload, encompassing routine care, preventative healthcare, consultations, and surgical work.

Continuity of Care

One of the standout features of this practice is its commitment to continuity of care. Clients and their pets benefit from seeing the same vet throughout their treatment journey, allowing you to manage and see through some fascinating and complex cases from start to finish. This approach not only enhances client satisfaction but also provides the rewarding experience of making a tangible difference in the lives of your patients.

Working

Environment

As an independent practice, there is a strong emphasis on work‑life balance and clinical freedom. Weekend duties or out‑of‑hours are handled by an external provider, ensuring you have the time to recharge and enjoy life outside of work. The team consists of two vets, three RVNs, SVNs and support staff and is located on the edge of Manchester city. With easy reach of Manchester city centre by direct train in 20 minutes, Manchester airport, and great transport links for the rest of the UK, and the Peak District on your doorstep for access to the great outdoors, this location could not get better.

Benefits

& Salary

Salary packages start from £60,000, commensurate with experience, with partnership opportunities available for the right candidate. Annual pay reviews, a yearly CPD allowance, staff discounts, and coverage of RCVS and VDS fees, as well as BVA membership, are included. You will also enjoy six weeks of annual leave plus bank holidays (pro‑rata). For overseas candidates, sponsorship opportunities are available.

Qualifications

You must be a qualified Veterinary Surgeon and eligible to register with the RCVS to be considered for this role.
