Clarendon Surgery & the Angel Medical Practice are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Practice Nurse to join our friendly and supportive clinical team. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a well‑established multidisciplinary practice serving the Salford community.

This part‑time role will involve working across both of our practice sites on different days. We may be able to offer flexibility with working sessions; and the specific days can be discussed and agreed to suit the successful applicant, the practice team, and the needs of our patients.

The successful candidate will work autonomously within their professional scope of practice, providing high quality nursing care through a combination of face‑to‑face consultations, telephone advice, and occasional home visits where appropriate.

You will manage a varied clinical workload, supporting patients with a range of health needs, and will work closely with both clinical and administrative colleagues as part of a collaborative team environment.

Main duties of the job

The Practice Nurse will:

  • Work independently within the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and in accordance with practice policies and clinical guidelines.
  • Deliver nursing care through patient consultations in person, by telephone, and occasionally through home visits.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and effectively utilise practice IT systems.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of nursing services within the practice.
  • Administer adult and childhood immunisations and vaccinations in line with national and local programmes.
  • Demonstrate competence in anaphylaxis management and resuscitation procedures
    .
  • Ensure safe storage, handling, and stock control of vaccines and medications.
  • Support and contribute to chronic disease management
    , including clinics for conditions such as:
    • Asthma
    • COPD
    • Diabetes
    • Cardiovascular disease
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of disease registers
    .
  • Deliver health promotion, screening programmes, and cervical screening
    .
