Staff Nurse - Adults

Role Overview

Blossom Ward is looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic, and passionate Band 5 Nurse to join the team, whether experienced or newly qualified. The post is part‑time working 21 hours per week. Blossom Ward provides care, assessment, and treatment to females predominantly over the age of 65 years with either an organic or functional illness. Blossom Ward is located at North View, new adult mental health unit which replaced Park House in November 2024.

Professional development, whether a preceptee or not, is a key priority here on Blossom Ward and the postholder would engage in an appraisal to identify areas of interest and development and be supported with further training whenever possible.

• Attend and lead handovers.
• Manage medicines.
• Care planning.
• Risk assessing.
• Attend and contribute to board rounds and multi‑disciplinary team meetings.
• Support junior staff members on shift.

We offer experience and learning to student nurses at various stages of development. Qualified nurses who want to work within a close knit and nurturing team whilst continuing to develop their practices are encouraged to consider application.
