Hangar, Manchester Airport – shift pattern 4 on 4 off (2 days, 2 nights)
We’re looking for a dedicated Tooling Storekeeper to join our Hangar team at Manchester Airport – a crucial role at the heart of our engineering operation.

Tooling Storekeeper will take responsibility ensuring that all aircraft tooling is controlled, stored, packed, handled and located correctly, whilst adhering to published Engineering procedures and operating to a high standard in relation to aircraft safety. The Tooling Storekeeper will also:
- Carry out routine inspections of aircraft tooling, conduct minor maintenance and ensure any potential defective tooling is efficiently and cost effectively dispatched for repair or calibration.
- Take a proactive approach to ensure service levels are kept to a high standard.
- Maintain records of all transactions in a diligent and accurate manner.
- Liaise with internal and external departments/suppliers.
- Ensure relevant Tooling Change Bulletins and Tooling Equipment bulletins are actioned appropriately.
- Uphold the Tooling department’s Mission Statement of “Right Tool, Right Place, Right time”.
- Excellent organization and communication skills, ensuring a clean and tidy work environment is always maintained.
- Experience of working with tooling equipment and ideally a good understanding of the aviation sector.
- Knowledge of tooling/stores processes.
- Apply a technical mindset to this technical role.
- Proactive and pragmatic approach, with the ability to prioritize work in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.
- Continuous Improvement mindset.
- Flexibility and willingness to support the needs of the operation.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Full UK driving licence required.
After a period of training, it is expected that the Tooling Storekeeper will work on 2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off shift pattern.
