Manufacturing ​/ Production Operator, Maintenance Technician ​/ Mechanic

We have an opportunity for an Operator to join us at our Paper Mill in Trafford Park to contribute to the maintenance of the large‑scale heavy machinery we have on site.

You will be responsible for operating the machinery in your assigned area where you will execute all operational tasks with excellence and adhere to all documented procedures, while being responsible for keeping your area clean & well organised. You will have accountability for quality checks in your responsible area and you will follow a number of internal processes to ensure all product test criteria is met.

Within the role you will record any tasks completed in the daily management system and execute any scheduled maintenance activities set out by your team leader.

• Previous experience in working in a similar heavy machine industry, ideally within paper making, but not essential
• Excellent trouble shooting skills, with the ability to plan and work to tight timelines while managing several tasks
• Strong communication skills
• Strong PC skills (excel, word, project)
• High level of numeracy
• FLT Driving Licence (desirable)
• Mobile Elevated Working Platforms (MEWPS) Licence (desirable)
