Procurement and Supplier Development Lead

Develop supply chain readiness and supplier capability to support a significant production ramp‑up across complex manufacturing programmes. The role focuses on supplier engagement, industrialisation activities and capacity assurance to enable sustainable growth, continuity of supply and long‑term performance across an evolving manufacturing environment. It is suitable for a procurement or supply chain professional with strong experience in supplier development within a manufacturing environment, who enjoys working cross‑functionally, improving supplier performance, supporting production growth and influencing strategic sourcing and investment decisions through data‑driven analysis.

• Lead supplier development activities to ensure capacity, capability and supply chain readiness
• Conduct detailed supplier assessments, risk evaluations and run‑at‑rate demonstrations
• Collaborate with internal manufacturing, engineering, quality and commodity teams
• Support make‑or‑buy decisions and strategic sourcing recommendations
• Identify cost‑saving, performance improvement and capacity expansion opportunities

• Strong experience in Supplier Development within Procurement or Supply Chain role
• Experience with in highly regulated Manufacturing
• Excellent communication skills
• Degree qualified or similar
• Awareness of APQP and Lean Principles

Permanent Salary: 50k – 60k (dependent on experience)

Location: South Manchester

Full Time: 37 hours per week, Mon‑Thurs & Fri (Apply online only)
