Due to an exciting expansion a global manufacturing business is looking for experienced Mechanical Fitters to join the team at their state of the art manufacturing facility. This role will involve the assembly, testing & commissioning of capital machinery. The successful candidate will have proven experience in a Manufacturing/assembly environment. This opportunity offers technical development & clear progression routes.

Role Description
Assist the production team in building machinery to specification
Strictly adhere to all Health & Safety regulations
Ensure that production targets are met safely and efficiently within the working environment
Work cross functionally with design and technical teams, on build issues, to produce a superior product.
Actively assist in continuous improvement and standardisation projects and processes
Take part in working on customer sites abroad, assisting with the assembly, test, and commissioning of new machinery

Skills and Qualifications
Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering - Time served
Has experience of using Mechanical Engineering processes in assembly and fitting
Strong experience working in a manufacturing/assembly environment
Has experience of working to engineering drawings
Experience working in a customer facing role is preferred
