Overview
The Critical Care Directorate has an exciting opportunity for a motivated operational manager to join the management team as the Band 8A Service Manager role. This opportunity will cover all MFT Adult Critical Care Units across Oxford Road Campus, Wythenshawe Hospital and North Manchester General Hospital overseeing admin managers based on each of these site.
The post holder will work closely with the General Manager to support the efficient and effective management of all resources in order to deliver improved performance. Promote quality improvement and lead on specific projects, programmes and business developments. Support the Directorate Manager, Matrons and Clinical Directors for the Directorate to meet the Divisional and Trust strategic and operational objectives, in partnership with other clinical and academic colleagues.
The post holder will deputise for the General Manager as required.
The Service Manager will support the Directorate Manager and Clinical Lead with operational management of all services within the Directorate. This involves supporting the delivery of all operational performance targets, including access targets, delivery of financial balance, trading gap plans, and the quality of services to patients and improving services towards best practice standards within available income.
