Overview
The Faculty Head of Planning, Compliance & Governance is a critical senior leadership role in the Faculty of Humanities Professional Services Team, providing data‑driven strategic advice and planning support to the Dean and Vice President and the Faculty Executive, contributing to the scope, planning and delivery of the Faculty’s long-term strategic priorities. You will also work closely with Faculty and University planning colleagues to steer an integrated planning cycle focusing on delivery of the Manchester 2035 strategy.
The role is accountable for supporting, guiding and advising the Faculty’s leadership on adherence to all sector specific legislation, guidance, compliance and reporting requirements and as such requires strong HE sector understanding as well as knowledge of both internal and external levers.
As a member of the Faculty’s senior leadership, you will lead a dynamic multi-functional team across a broad range of strategic and operational priorities spanning Strategic Planning, Compliance, Governance, Health, Safety & Wellbeing, Social Responsibility, Internationalisation and Data Analytics, working in partnership with cognate departments and directorates across our Schools and the University.
You will report to the Executive Director of Faculty Operations with a dotted line to the University’s Executive Director of Planning.
