Site Manager – Central Bolton

We are seeking a dedicated Site Manager to join our vibrant educational community on a temporary‑to‑permanent contract basis.

• Oversee daily maintenance, cleaning and security of school premises.
• Lead a team of cleaners to maintain excellent cleanliness standards.
• Manage site security: lock/unlock entrances and monitor alarm systems.
• Conduct daily risk assessments and fire safety drills.
• Schedule and coordinate maintenance work with external contractors.
• Facilitate community events outside normal school hours, including weekends.
• Maintain the asset register and manage consumables.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and create a welcoming environment.

• NVQ Level 2 in a relevant discipline (Caretaking, Cleaning) or equivalent.
• Health & Safety Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle due to key holder duties.

• Proven experience in cleaning and maintaining buildings, ideally in an educational setting.
• Experience securing buildings and managing alarm systems.
• DIY/handy person skills.
• Previous caretaking or grounds maintenance experience, preferably in a school environment.

• Strong organisational skills and ability to lead a team.
• Commitment to safety and creating a secure working environment.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet school needs.

Competitive, £13.98 – £15.15 per hour depending on experience.

This role requires an Enhanced DBS check. The candidate will be required to undergo background screening to promote the welfare of children and students.
