The Opportunity

I've been referred by a long-standing industry contact to represent a well-established national building consultancy that’s ready to seriously enter the public sector market - but they want the right person to lead it. You’ll be joining a business with:

6 offices across the UK
A strong, profitable private-sector platform
20+ Building Surveyors already in the business
Full back-office, brand, and operational support

What’s missing is public sector leadership - and that’s the gap you’ll fill.

The Role
This is a chance to build your own public sector business within an established firm.
You will:

Take full ownership of public sector strategy and delivery
Bring your existing public sector clients, frameworks, or relationships
Design and implement your own processes, systems, and ways of working
Be the face of the business in the public sector
Build and scale a team around you as workload grows

No micromanagement. No legacy systems you’re forced to follow.
You’ll be trusted to run this like it’s your own business, with the backing of a national consultancy.
Who This Suits
Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS or equivalent)
Currently at Director / Associate Director level
Strong background in public sector work (PFI, education, healthcare, local authority, NHS, frameworks)
Proven ability to win work and carry client relationships
Entrepreneurial, commercially minded, and comfortable with responsibility
