About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Head of Property / Property Partner to lead and grow a high-performing Property team in Central Manchester. This is a unique opportunity to join an exciting, expanding business and play a pivotal role in shaping a market-leading Property offering. The successful candidate will work directly on high-value client matters originating from a tax advisory business, giving you exposure to complex and premium work.
As Head of Property, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional legal services, overseeing a growing conveyancing team, and driving strategic growth plans over the next 12 months and beyond.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the Property function, including conveyancing and property transactions.
- Provide expert legal advice on a broad range of residential and commercial property matters.
- Take ownership of high-value and complex property work sourced directly from a high-end client base.
- Develop and implement strategic growth plans for the Property team.
- Support and mentor junior fee-earners and oversee the recruitment and development of additional team members (aiming to grow by 10+ conveyancers within the year).
- Ensure high standards of service delivery, client care, and compliance.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, including advising on risk, value, and commercial outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with other leadership teams to support cross-service initiatives and client engagement.
- Qualified Property lawyer with 8+ years PQE.
- Demonstrable experience in leading and managing teams.
- Strong background in both residential and commercial property law.
- Experience handling high-value and complex transactions.
- Exceptional client relationship and business development skills.
- A proactive, strategic thinker with a passion for growth and leadership.
- Excellent communication, people management, and organisational skills
- A leadership role with real influence on business strategy and growth.
