Maintenance Assistant - Nights

We are currently recruiting for Maintenance Assistant for our client based in Partington, M31.

Pay rate £13.51/hour. 40hr a week expectation 22:00-06:30 Sunday Thursday - night shift. 20min paid break and 30min unpaid. Overtime is £19.77/hr over 40hours.

You will be a support for the existing Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth and continued running of the plant. You will take direction from our experienced engineers while assisting in scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance work, breakdowns, cleaning and working with the baler. This is a development role and an ideal opportunity for someone who has the right aptitude and appetite for a career within company in a technical field.

• Experience in working on a busy manufacturing site, with knowledge and practical understanding of Health & Safety related activities.
• A pragmatic and logical approach to work tasks, with a hands‑on work ethic.
• Flexible, able to take direction and comfortable with communicating at all levels.
• High level of physical fitness required, as this will require working at height and in confined spaces.
• No Maintenance experience is required as training will be given, but is ideal.
• Client is looking for someone with some mechanical / engineering background.

• Take direction from the experienced Maintenance Engineers in supporting them in all areas of the plant maintenance, including scheduled maintenance, breakdowns and unscheduled maintenance.
• Cleaning of equipment and plant general maintenance around the plant as directed by the Operations Shift Managers and Engineers.
