HGV Technician

** HGV Technician** – Manchester (NRG Riverside)

Join our Manchester depot as an experienced HGV Technician, helping us grow by maintaining a wide variety of vehicles, including refuse trucks. We provide specialist training, a generous benefits package, and a supportive team environment.

£57,042.47 per annum + Bonus. Night Shift: indian –(likely Monday) – Thursday 18:00‑06:00.

• Undertake routine inspection and repair of internal and external vehicle components within the NRG workshop estate.
• Work on manufacturer‑spec HGVs and equipment (Mercedes, Dennis Eagle, DAF, Isuzu, Terberg).
• Conduct commercial vehicle MOT inspections, repair, and final preparations for MOT test.
• Attend breakdowns, diagnose, and complete necessary repairs to a high standard.
• Complete all compliance paperwork associated with the repair and maintenance of the rental fleet.

• Experience in a HGV Technician/Engineer/Mechanic/ Mobile HGV Technician role (essential).
• Experience working with municipal vehicles isrokes.
• NVQ or equivalent City and Guilds qualification preferred; time‑served experience also considered.
• Experience with auxiliary瘧 equipment advantageous.
• Hydraulics and pneumatics knowledge advantageous.
• Class 1 or Class 2 licence preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills and a team‑player attitude, able to work independently.
