Job SummaryWe are seeking experienced Financial Mis-Selling Solicitors to join our new litigation team based in Manchester. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in handling financial mis-selling claims, including PCP, investment mis-selling, pension transfer claims, PPI, omnibus claims or other complex financial product disputes. You will manage your own caseload, supervise junior team members, and play an integral role in developing the department.
Whatyou ll be doing
- Manage a caseload of financial mis-selling claims from pre-action through to settlement or trial.
- Review complex financial documentation and provide clear legal advice to clients.
- Draft and review letters of claim, particulars of claim, witness statements, and other court documents.
- Liaise confidently with clients, financial institutions, experts, and counsel.
- Conduct legal research and stay updated on FCA regulations and case law developments.
- Negotiate settlements and attend court hearings or mediations when required.
- Supervise and support junior fee earners and paralegals within the department.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, SRA regulations, and FCA-related standards where applicable.
- Newly qualified (0-2 PQE) with demonstrable experience in financial mis-selling, professional negligence, or complex consumer litigation.
- Strong understanding of FCA regulations, financial products, and mis-selling principles.
- Proven ability to manage a busy caseload and deliver high-quality work to deadlines.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Exceptional communication and client-care skills.
- Proficiency in using case management systems (e.g., Proclaim or similar).
