Full-time | Monday to Friday | 9:00am – 5:00pm
An established and respected legal practice based in Manchester City Centre is seeking an experienced Legal Practice Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the firm and ensure full regulatory compliance.
This is a pivotal role, ideal for someone with a strong background in legal practice management who enjoys responsibility, structure, and working closely with senior stakeholders.
The Role
You will be responsible for the effective management of the firm’s operational, compliance, and administrative functions, ensuring the practice runs efficiently and in line with all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing daily operations of the legal practice
* Overseeing Legal Aid audits and ongoing compliance
* Conducting file reviews and ensuring quality standards are met
* Staff management, including supervision and performance oversight
* Liaising with regulatory bodies including the Legal Aid Agency, Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), and Law Society
* Submitting monthly bills and overseeing financial administration
* Managing regulatory matters and ensuring policies and procedures are up to date
* Providing audio typing, secretarial support, and general administrative duties as required
About You
* Proven experience as a Legal Practice Manager (essential)
* Strong knowledge of Legal Aid processes and audits
* Confident handling regulatory and compliance matters
* Excellent organisational and leadership skills
* Comfortable with hands-on administrative and secretarial tasks
* High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
