We’re working with a busy and growing commercial property team who are looking for a Paralegal to join them in Manchester. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys a fast‑paced environment and wants exposure to high‑value projects across Manchester and the North West.
You’ll support fee earners across a wide range of transactional work, manage your own responsibilities day‑to‑day, and act as a key point of contact for clients and third parties. Strong organisation, accuracy, and communication skills are essential.
Responsibilities include :- Drafting and preparing contracts, supplemental documents, completion statements, and financial breakdowns
- Setting up and maintaining datarooms, and preparing sale and refinance packs
- Liaising with lender solicitors on refinance matters and managing enquiries
- Arranging execution of security documents and returning them ahead of completion
- Reviewing title documents, Land Registry copies, planning permissions, and ownership information
- Ordering and reviewing local authority, drainage, environmental, and other searches
- Ensuring full AML and client due diligence compliance
- Managing key dates for exchange and completion and coordinating all parties involved
- Preparing and circulating completion packs and handling undertakings and funds
- Calculating and filing SDLT returns and overseeing post‑completion registration
- Assisting with Land Registry requisitions and providing updated title documents to clients and lenders
- Preparing invoices and managing client account funds in line with SRA rules
- Maintaining compliant files and supporting closing and archiving processes
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Confident communicator, both written and verbal, in a client‑facing role
- Proactive team player who enjoys a varied workload
- Previous property or paralegal experience, ideally in a commercial environment
- Salary up to £27k + development support
