Your new company I am representing solicitors based near Liverpool Street Station in the heart of London who are looking for an experienced legal cashier to join their finance team of 4. You will be providing support to the FD and the legal staff within the business.

The successful candidate will join a well-organised and busy financial team undertaking a wide range of legal accounting tasks. The successful candidate will ideally have 3 / 4 years’ experience working in a solicitor’s firm. This role is a hybrid opportunity to work in the office 2 days per week (3 from home). This is an ideal opportunity for someone wishing to join a busy and growing team and progress their career towards the next stage.

We pride ourselves on our focus for career development and progression. Your new role Monitor client accounts, check monies received and inform the relevant fee earners. Daily Bank reconciliation. Daily Bank reconciliations for Client and Office bank accounts. Daily balancing of controls to ensure all prior day’s transactions and postings are processed under the firm’s policies and the Solicitors account rules.

Processing BACS, CHAPS, Faster and International Payments using online Banking System. Posting all incoming and outgoing transactions on to a case management system. Identifying and allocating Office receipts and payments. Client to Office Account transfers. Assisting in the management of aged debt. Processing bills. Uploading disbursements records on the case management system. Helping on various projects including inactive matters, residual balances, and file storage.

Maintaining an organised electronic filing system. Resolving accounts queries. Working with fee earners on their ledger balances.
