About Our Client

We are currently recruiting for a Legal Cashier to join a well-established and friendly legal practice based in Didsbury.

Job Description

The key responsibilities for the Legal Cashier vacancy will be:

• Prepare daily banking, including cheques and BACS receipts
• Process credit and debit card payments and partner card transactions
• Post bills, credit notes and journals
• Manage the purchase ledger and liaise with suppliers
• Handle all accounting aspects of conveyancing completions
• Maintain client and office ledgers, including inter-account transfers
• Monitor and clear residual balances, particularly for conveyancing matters
• Maintain petty cash and process expenses and disbursements
• Administer online banking and complete account reconciliations
• Process PAYE payments

The Successful Applicant

A successful Legal Cashier will have:

• Previous experience in a Legal Cashier or Accounts Assistant role
• Knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Confident using accounting systems
• Reliable, organised and able to work independently

What's on Offer

• A salary between £28,000 - £32,000 per annum + bonus
• Full time office based working
