Position: Litigation Lawyer (Debt Recovery & Adult Social Care)
We are looking for a Locum Litigation Lawyer focusing on Debt Recovery with some exposure to Adult Social Care matters. The role is for a Local Authority based in Greater Manchester, and they’re looking for someone who can manage high‑value debt cases and support the team.

Role Responsibilities

* Manage a varied caseload of civil litigation and debt recovery, including high‑value Adult Social Care debt.

* Issue claims, draft pleadings, prepare court documents and progress matters through enforcement

* Provide clear legal advice to Adult Social Care and Finance teams on client charging, financial assessments and recovery options.

* Negotiate settlements, handle early‑stage recovery actions and support preventative approaches to debt reduction.

* Work independently, meeting deadlines and managing sensitive or complex matters with minimal supervision.

Working Pattern:
Ideally hybrid, potentially remote
