Catastrophic injury / large loss - casualty EL/PL solicitor or legal executive (NQ - 2 PQE ) – Manchester

Our client is seeking a Casualty EL/PL Solicitor or Legal Executive with NQ - 2 PQE to join their specialist team in Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for a solicitor with strong academics and expertise in Employers Liability (EL) and Public Liability (PL) law, to work on unique and complex cases.

• Job Title: Associate / Senior Associate
• Location: Manchester, UK
• Salary: Up to £55,000
• Work Pattern: Hybrid (3 days from home)
• Reports to: Partner
• Experience: NQ - 2 PQE, ideally with Defendant EL/PL experience (Claimant experience considered)

• Handle a caseload of complex EL/PL cases
• Assist on ultra high-value catastrophic injury matters
• Develop skills in trial work, including pleadings, reporting, and strategy
• Work directly with Senior Associate and Legal Director
• Opportunities to build relationships with tier 1 global insurers
• Exposure to high-profile cases involving severe injuries such as burns, assault, abuse, and neglect
• Advise clients on civil liability following terrorist acts and defend against false imprisonment and malicious prosecution claims

As a key member of the team, you will:

• Manage a caseload of complex legal matters
• Draft pleadings, client reports, and instructions to counsel and experts
• Conduct legal research and stay updated on industry practices
• Attend conferences and develop client relationships
• Contribute to the team’s thought leadership initiatives
