Mid-Corporate Property and Casualty Underwriter

We are working with a significant A-Rated, UK and Global insurer, who are looking to expand their Manchester office. They would like to hear from experienced Property and Casualty Underwriters, with a working knowledge of mid-market accounts, to build upon the success of their UK platform.

With a wide underwriting appetite, our Client is looking for individuals with a can-do attitude, who would prefer to work without a multitude of referral requirements, to realise their experience, underwrite and win business. Working in a relatively flat structure, whilst you will have all the technical support you will need, the ambition is to empower individuals to just get on with it.

• Property and Casualty underwriter for the UK Northern region, which may also include opportunities in the Midlands
• New Business focused, trading with brokers, being in the market.
• Underwriting accounts paying £75k-£250k and above – with accommodation below for the right accounts for the right reasons
• Accounts will be written as a P&C package or as individual lines
• Building a portfolio of accounts through the major broking houses, with a medium term plan to launch the proposition to a wider distribution
• The role is based out of the Manchester office, with flexibility to be where you need to be to get the job done.

• Property and Casualty underwriter (both disciplines required), with experience of underwriting accounts paying £50k and above on a primary basis. The larger the better.
• Self-motivated, and a track record of profitable new business delivery
• Knowledge of the North West / North East and/or Midlands broker market would be ideal – particularly the top 6/7 Global brokers.
• You are ideally based within the North West, within an hour of central Manchester
• Have the wish to work without the need for continuous referral of accounts
• Have the ambition to put themselves on the map as a go-to underwriter in the market

• Base Salary upto £95k, depending on experience, with a wider package available for the exceptional candidate
